Beginning in November 2021, Adev Automation is working with the University of Florida Gulf Coast Research and Education Center to provide a testing ground for the continued improvement of autonomous harvesters. The S-1 prototype successfully harvested strawberries during the initial visit to the farm in Jan 2022!

2024 Update: After continued research, an updated design to increase the rate of harvesting has been designed using a redesigned picker and an improved LIDAR based search software. The new design implements new machine learning based concepts using our databased of strawberry imagery.
